Description

Druids are a jack-of-all trades wisdom caster with strong healing and damage capabilities, and some very useful utility spells.

Stengths/Weaknesses

Pros

  • Good heals (Mini-CH, strong quick heal)
  • Good buffs (PotG, Damage Shield, Regen, SoW, strength, various utility)
  • Good damage (Fire/Ice nukes, Magic DoTs, Pet)
  • Self/Group Teleports
  • Harmony (Outdoor-only, Unresistable, AOE pacification)

Cons

  • While druids can do many things well, they do not truly excel at any one role. At the highest level, clerics will have better heals, shaman will have better buffs, wizards will have better nukes, etc.
  • No haste buff makes them less effective at taking on challenging targets in a melee duo than Shaman.
  • Most squishy of the priest classes

Grouping

A druid pairs well with nearly any class, and can fill various roles in a group. Added healing spells on RetroQuest makes them very viable group healers, or they can contribute good damage with their nukes, DoTs, pet, and damage shields.

Raiding

Depending on the raid composition, druids may fulfill different roles in a raid. Sometimes they might be tasked with healing their group or an off-tank, other times they might be focused on dealing damage. Their ports and evac line is always welcome, as getting everyone to the raid on time and moving the raid to a new location can often be a challenge. Their elemental protection (Circle of Seasons) is the best Fire/Cold resist spell available.

RetroQuest Spells & Abilities

The following is a partial list of spells available on RetroQuest that are not available on strictly classic servers, some of these may not be available until later expansions.

  • Improved Pets (Fully controllable, weaker than shaman pet but good added dmg)
  • Nature's Touch (1500 HP heal, 3.8s)
