Description

Rogues are masters of stealth who excel in dealing damage from behind their opponent.

Strengths/Weaknesses

Pros

  • Very high melee damage output
  • Poisons improve their damage even further
  • Unmatched sneak ability allows them to explore almost anywhere unnoticed
  • Unique utility toolkit: Pick locks, Sense/Disarm Traps, Pickpocket

Cons

  • Maximum damage output is dependent on correct positioning
  • Low defensive capability

Grouping

Finding an effective duo partner for a rogue can be challenging due to the positioning requirements of backstab. Depending on the combo, it may be most effective to have their duo partner tank to maximize the rogue's damage. In a larger group, rogues will more easily find success and be able to contribute to their full potential.

Raiding

Rogues can output some of the highest melee damage of any class, which is their primary focus. Their sneak skills may also sometimes be called on for scouting.

The following is a list of spells available on RetroQuest (or modified here) that are not available on strictly classic servers, some of these may not be available until later expansions.

  • Level 21 - Trap: Firebomb I - Detonated Single Target Damage

  • Level 22 - Suicide Bomber I - Detonate yourself for 10% of your HP each target.

  • Level 34 - Trap: Firebomb II - Detonated Single Target Damage

  • Level 36 - Suicide Bomber II - Detonate yourself for 10% of your HP each target.

  • Level 40 - Fearless Discipline - Increase Chance to Resist Fear Spell by 10000%
  • Level 46 - Blinding Stun Grenade - 3 second stun and blind PB AE

  • Level 56 - Trap: Firebomb III - Detonated Single Target Damage

Alternate Advancement

In addition, all classes get access to some general abilities such as Origin, Run Speed, Bandolier Slots, Improved Stats and Stat Caps, Increased Max Buffs, Improved Regen, and more.

Rogue Auras

Auras can be purchased from Researcher Brinn in the hub with a version every 10 levels starting at level 25. Auras do not stack with the same aura, higher level auras will overwrite lower level auras. Auras that are different will stack up to 6 (a full group).

Rogue - Rascal's Aura - Increase the weapon proc chance for you and your companions.
