Aegis of Life

This quest begins with Capt Linarius in North Karana (on the bridge to South Karana).

• He asks you to speak with Camlend Serbold in Qeynos.
• Go to Southern Karana. Not far from the end of the bridge is an undead camp. Lord Grimrot's placeholder is the only putrid skeleton that is standing.
• The Pestilence Scythe with the proc is the one you need to turn-in. The undead version drops the Decaying Heart.
• Turn in both the Scythe and the Heart to Camlend Serbold to receive the Aegis of Life.

Key differences from Project 1999 and TLP.

• You do NOT have to speak with Captain Linarius in North Karana first.
• Both the Pestilence Scythe and Decaying Heart can drop off the same spawn. I completed the quest having killed ONLY Lord Grimrot (live version). Also, the pestilence scythe does NOT always drop. On the first kill I looted a "tarnished scythe" and the Decaying Heart. The next Lord Grimrot (live) dropped both the Pestilence Scythe and the Decaying Heart.
• Faction is very fast on RetroQuest so only 1 camp of killing Putrid Skeletons will probably give you enough to get to Warmly, the minimum to complete this quest.
• The text dialogue with Camlend Serbold is different than P99/TLP. After saying the key phrase "I came here to defend life.", he will just repeat the phrase "Do you feel your heart beating within your chest!!? It is Rodcet Nife, the Prime Healer, whose breath keeps it in perfect rhythm. If you do not pray to His glory then I assure you, someday when your heart begins to slow, you shall be crying out loud to Rodcet Nife.' I was worried by this, figuring the quest was bugged, but I risked the turn-in trade anyways and was given the reward.
