Deconstructing

Deconstruction enables you to dismantle a crafted item, providing opportunities for both skill enhancement and the recovery of components.

To initiate deconstruction, your skill must be at least 30% below its trivial level.

Deconstruction presents an opportunity for skill improvement, limited to the item's trivial level. Crafted items, when deconstructed, may yield 1 to 3 random components.

The number of components received is influenced by your proficiency in the relevant trade skill compared to the recipe's trivial level.

Your character's level impacts the risk of failure during deconstruction. Higher levels reduce the chance of failure.

In the event of failure, you may either lose everything or gain a minimum of two components, depending on the stage of failure. The funds spent on extracting the specific component causing the failure will be forfeited.

The cost for this service is 2 times the vendor value of each extracted component, potentially offering savings compared to vendor prices.

In the event of insufficient funds during deconstruction, the item will be lost, but the components you paid to extract will remain.

Deconstruction consumes 200 endurance; if insufficient, rest is required.

Items marked as No Drop or No Rent are ineligible for deconstruction.

This feature is exclusively available in East Commonlands.

To utilize this new feature, place a crafted item on your cursor and type: /say +deconstruct.

Known visual bug: The previous item may appear on your cursor until dropped into a bag.

Occasionally, you will get a message explaining that the moment is not right for deconstruction. Just try again, timing is everything.
